As of 2010, the ISIA of Faenza awards the Diploma Supplement to all students with a 1st and 2nd Level Diploma.

The Diploma Supplement (DS) is a supplementary document of a qualification awarded by a university or higher education institution or a Higher education institute in Art, Music and Dance. The DS provides a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of studies completed by the student in accordance with a standard model drafted in 8 points, developed by the European Commission, the European Council and UNESCO.

It contains official data regarding the student’s career; it odes not contain: discretionary assessments, declarations of equivalence or suggestions pertaining to recognition. Its purpose is to ensure qualification transparency as it is integrated with the description of the syllabus of completed studies, thus facilitating academic and professional recognition of Italian qualifications abroad.
